Second Honeymoon/Ten Year Anniversary/Babymoon

I don't really know what to call this adventure, so you can figure it out on your own. When we got married we honeymooned in San Francisco. We always said that we would go back some day. We decided that our ten year anniversary would be perfect, so I started saving up. Well, wouldn't you know it, we will have a 6 week old when that milestone comes, so we quickly made some plans and off we went. The best part? Being alone together for several days straight for the first time in seven and a half years (since T was born). The worst part? I planned so well...or so I thought. I charged the camera battery for almost 24 hours before we left for the airport. Then it got to charge for several more days while we were gone. You would think that one of the bajillion camera shops in San Fran would have a battery that fit our camera, but you would be WRONG! All pictures were taken on my iPod. Better than nothing, but I was totally bummed. Anyway--here are the pictures I was able to get...

The first night there we didn't have a lot of time, so we just walked down to China Town. I was still having a little trouble letting go of kids, so we had some souvenirs made for them. I think that I had more fun watching this guy draw them than they will have seeing them, but oh well.
The next day we became reacquainted with the transportation in San Francisco. Everything is so totally different there than we are used to! LOVE IT! (Terrible trolley self portrait, but beggars can't be choosers, right?)
We took a couple of cruises of the bay. We got to see the bridges up close, and hear a little more about the history of the area. That was fun, and a great time to rest my aching legs (poor prego is definitely not used to walking quite that much)!
The aquarium there was so fun! There was a "people mover" that moved you through the tunnels of fish. Pretty clever way to use the limited real estate on Pier 39! I even got up the guts to touch the ray and the shark, but not til after my wonderful hubby did it first.
One of the best things about San Francisco is the food...well, if you like seafood, which I don't, but my wonderful hubby does! He got his fill of seafood and then some. I even tried crab just for him, and it wasn't as bad as I was anticipating. I had to get a picture of Daddy in a bib to show the kids. They thought it was pretty hilarious.
We had a wonderful time, and made some more wonderful memories. Most of all, we had the opportunity to enjoy some alone time again. It was an amazing trip just because we got to be together and only worry about each other. I love my husband more than I can say, and I am so lucky that a man as amazing as he is found something of value in me, and committed to spend eternity with me. I love him so much, and I loved our trip! Needless to say, we will NOT be waiting another 10 years! How's next summer for you babe?

Next summer works for me! Wait, I'm not the babe you were referring to? Dang it. I probably classify more as one of the kids. Shucks.
