Resemblance?

Ok, so when Owen was born I was sure that he looked exactly like Lizzie (right). Then we looked at pictures of Tori (left) when she was little, and I thought he looked like her. Now I don't know what to think. Here are the portraits from the hospital of each of the three of them. Keep in mind that Tori's picture was taken within an hour or so of her birth, so she is a lot more swollen than her siblings are in their pictures (plus we didn't get to dress her or anything--that's Provo for you). What do you all think? (If you click on the pic and make it bigger it is easier to see.) Is there a resemblance between them at all?

Trying to keep up!

Well, three is definitely a bit overwhelming, and Daddy and I are trying to keep up with them. Owen's two older sisters are so thrilled to have him home, but they aren't sure that they still like Mom and Dad all that much. Actually, Lizzie is doing really well, but it seems to be a hard transition for Tori. She does adore her brother, but Mom and Dad are merely obstacles in her path. She would sit and hold Owen all day long if he didn't have to eat all the time.

Grammy got matching jammies for all three, and they wore them for Owen's first night home! They looked so adorable! Nana bought shirts for the girls that say "Big Sister" and Owen has a "Little Brother" shirt, so we had to have pictures in those too! My little munchkins. WOW! It truly is amazing--the love of a mother. I couldn't be happier!

We are a happy family (of FIVE)!

If you are looking for baby stats and story look below, but here is our family all together. Most of these pictures were taken when Owen was about 30 minutes old. Tori has been so excited and wanted nothing more than to hold her little bro. Lizzie, on the other hand, was completely uninterested initially. Eventually she warmed up and kept saying "I'na touch it" (I wanna touch it). We are all so happy that he is here safe and sound.

Our Little Man!

Well, he is finally here! We got to the hospital just before 7 AM and they didn't do anything until about 10:00. Needless to say, I was pretty annoyed. They broke my water then not much happened, so we started the pitocin about an hour and a half later. I was feeling great and making it through all the contractions pretty easily. At about 1:20PM (during transition, of course) I decided I better go ahead with the epidural. Too bad for me I went from 8 cm to 10cm AND PUSHING in about 10 minutes. NO DRUGS! AAAAAAAAAA! I wanted drugs so bad. After lots of tears, screaming, and thinking I might die, my little man made his entrance. At 1:50PM Owen Thomas Peterson was born! He was our biggest so far--7 lbs 11 oz, 20 1/4 inches. We struggled with the name even after he got here, but both of us really felt like that was the right name for our little guy. I think he looks like his sister, but I want to know what everyone else thinks. Do you think there is family resemblance, and with whom? Here are some pics (we will get more when they finally give him back to us) to start your deliberations.

Happy Birthday Princess!

Well, she has been telling us for months that she wanted a Sleeping Beauty birthday party. This is one little girl who knows what she wants! Today was her 4th birthday, and it was quite the day. Definitely a day fit for a princess.

Mommy and Daddy worked really hard on her castle cake. Tori got her Aurora dress this morning and couldn't have been happier (thanks you Nana and Nene for your help on that front).

We read The Princess and the Pea and then played "pop the pea" and "pass the pea" and we even had a little dance party--one of Tori's absolute favorite activities.

We had the knights and the princesses including: Shane (in the picture above), Logan, Tori, Brianna, Taegan, and Brooke (in the picture below). They made princess wands, shields and swords. They were so cute and had a great time. I still can't believe that she is FOUR! Happy Birthday Princess! We love you so much!

HELP ME!

Ok, apparently we have had too much time to think over the whole name situation. We eliminated names down to two, and now we aren't sure we like either of them. We added three more names back onto our list. Heaven help us! Here are the options--PLEASE vote in the new poll. We are very curious! Oh, and just FYI-Thomas is after daddy (obviously), Robert is Grandpa Peterson, and Allen is Grandpa Evershed.

Fetishes

I guess my new fetish is going to be changing my template until I find one that I really like, but both my girls have their little fetishes too! Lizzie has a thing for accessories. She will wear several jackets at a time as well as at least two or three pairs of shoes. She will wear her own shoes, then a pair of Mom's or Dad's over the top with one pair on her hands.

Tori LOVES to dress up. She can make anything into a super hero costume, but she also loves to wear her real costumes as often as possible. She has Cinerella, Belle, Ariel, (Sleeping Beauty as of next week shhhh!) an angel, etc, but often she uses slips, belts and hats to create her own style! Being a mom is so much fun! I wouldn't trade my little princesses for anything!
