Well, the Colorado weather has been ridiculous, so when Lara called and invited us to the zoo on one of the two 70 degree plus days (between the two snowstorms...) we jumped at the chance! Yesterday we spent four hours wandering around looking at animals, and generally enjoying the sun. We were sunscreened to the max, and yes, I still got burned. The girls had a great time hanging out with Lily, Brianna, Shane, Jace, and Brett. I would say that Owen enjoyed it to, but he was asleep most of the time! Thanks for the invite Lara! We have to do that a lot this summer!

The girls were so proud of their navigational skills. They were constantly telling us where to go and what to look at next. Even Lizzie had to have a map!
Liz was so good! She stayed in the stroller without a fit the whole time we wandered the zoo (except when we let her out to have lunch)! WOW! That was a miracle! At lunch time the kids played hide and seek while we fed and changed the babies...that is how Liz got covered in dirt (and ate quite a bit no doubt!).

Glad to know we aren't the only ones with the worst weather ever! The zoo looks like a lot of fun. I'm not ready to brave it yet, but I promised Ry I would take him over break. Love the double stroller, I want to get that one.
Apart from my kids being the ones that were usually left behind (Shane was being such a stinker), we had a TON of fun. Thank you for inviting us to come and enjoy the animals and the warm weather. Sorry about the sunburn!
